Job description

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR professional
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the acquisition of top talent to meet the organization's current and future needs.
  • Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
  • Implement effective training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Performance Management & Succession Plan
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
  • Manage succession plans and expat skills transfer plans.
  • Staff Engagement & Motivation
  • Creating employee engagement plans and initiating activities.
  • Employee Benefits
  • Administering compensation and benefit plans.
  • Headcount and Absenteeism
  • Effectively manage headcount within budgets
  • Efficiently maintain absenteeism within target
  • Payroll
  • Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes
  • Employment Equity
  • Assist with employment equity reporting
  • Ensure adherence to the employment equity plan
  • Participate in the employment equity committee
  • BBBEE
  • Knowledge and experience of BBBEE requirements would be an advantage
