Position Details

The HR Coordinator at Tilson supports the HR team by providing administrative assistance across various HR functions. This position focuses on improving the efficiency of HR operations through accurate data entry, reporting, employee support on HR programs, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in human resources and attention to detail, contributing to a collaborative team environment. This role offers opportunities for growth and the development of HR knowledge and best practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the HR team across all functions, including document management, correspondence, and responding to employee inquiries.

  • Generate and prepare HR reports related to employee data, compensation, leaves, benefits, compliance, and other HR metrics as needed.

  • Accurately enter employee information and other HR-related data into various systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

  • Assist with benefit enrollments, changes, and general inquiries, as well as provide support for benefits reporting and billing.

  • Support employees with self-service HRIS updates, such as address and name changes.

  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and other HR-related systems, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

  • Assist with HR compliance tasks related to federal, state, and local employment laws, supporting audits, reporting, postings, and necessary filings as directed.

  • Assist with employee onboarding tasks and support HR Business Partners with administrative tasks as needed.

  • Maintain and organize electronic employee files.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and provide backup for HR Coordinator – Leave and Compliance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in human resources or related field or equivalent experience.

  • 1+ years of related professional experience required.

  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, aPHR, or PHR is a plus.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR systems.

  • Ability to perform data entry with high accuracy and manage multiple administrative tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.

  • A proactive attitude toward learning new systems and processes within HR.

  • Basic understanding of human resources principles and U.S. employment laws.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

$24.00 - $33.00
