Role Overview: As an Account Executive at ZAGENO, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by acquiring new biotech customers and integrating them into our platform. This position demands a strategic thinker with a knack for consultative selling, being capable of understanding and addressing potential clients' needs with tailor-made solutions. Your success in this role will not only contribute to ZAGENO’s expansion but also offer a rewarding pathway to develop your career in sales within an innovative company. 


We are excited to announce our first New Business position based in Europe as we expand our international presence. We’re seeking a motivated individual eager to embrace this unique and exciting opportunity. While the rest of our Growth Team operates from our Boston headquarters, this role will be remote, with travel required on an as-needed basis (approximately 25%). 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and engage potential biotech clients, employing effective prospecting strategies to expand ZAGENO’s customer base.
  • Consultative Selling: Adopt a solution-oriented approach to sales, understanding customer pain points and articulating the value of ZAGENO’s platform in meeting their needs.
  • Deal Closure: Drive the sales cycle from initial contact to signing deals, employing strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Pipeline Management: Actively manage and strategize your sales pipeline for sustained, long-term success.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with your peers and the leadership team, contributing to a culture of success and continuous improvement.
  • Professional Growth: Take advantage of learning opportunities to expand your skill set and advance your career within ZAGENO.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a closing role, preferably within the SaaS or biotech sectors. Experience with procurement processes and technology is a plus.
  • Skills: Fluent in English, with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities; highly skilled in consultative selling, negotiation, and strategic thinking.
  • Attributes: Goal-driven, resilient, and persistent, with a positive attitude towards challenges and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Team Orientation: A collaborative spirit, supportive of team members, and motivated by collective success.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree is required, with a Business, Marketing, or a related field concentration preferred but not required.
  • Bonus qualification: Experience with forecasting frameworks, such as MEDDICC, to drive an accurate and predictable pipeline.
