Job description

 

Dover Precision Components is hiring an accounting-based Finance Manager to support our Government Contracts business. We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of permanent bearing protection and complete shaft sealing solutions for a variety of rotating equipment across multiple industries.

In this hybrid (onsite/remote) role, you will work 3 days minimum per week at our Waukesha, WI location with some travel to our Antigo, WI manufacturing site needed.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage Accounting and Finance reporting and analysis of government projects for Magnetic Bearings business and Department of Energy projects, including revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations in line with ASC 606 and Dover accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and supervisory guidance to accounting professionals in A/P, A/R, and General/JE accounting.
  • Analyze financial performance for each program and present findings and recommendations to senior management, including monthly forecasting and variance analysis. 
  • Provide detailed analysis utilizing transactional data from ERP system to support account reconciliations.
  • Work cross functionally with Operations and Program managers to drive business performance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Finance Business Partner and Controllership to align financial and accounting objectives.
  • Prepare Annual Operating Plan inputs for business.
  • Ensure internal controls are followed according to Dover standards.
  • Perform financial analysis and special projects on an as needed basis to support the business.
  • Travel to our Antigo, WI manufacturing site up to 25%.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Required to have experience and competency in FAR, DFAR, CAS Cost Accounting Standards for Government Contracts and ability work with ITAR and CUI projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting (account reconciliations, project controls) and finance roles within manufacturing environment, or Audit/Consulting.
  • Experience in financial statements, Annual Operating Plan, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel. Proficient with Word and Power Point.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Able to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience with Revenue Recognition over time contracts.

 

ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCES

  • Master’s degree.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with government, progressive billing.
  • Strong ERP system experience such as Syteline.
  • Familiar with FAR/DFAR regulations.
