Job description

Be | Shaping the Future Poland has a proven position of being a reliable partner for financial services organizations to analyze complex requirements, find solutions and implement them in their entirety, regardless of their complexity. Since the foundation of Be Poland in 2013, we have been continually expanding and customizing our spectrum of services. Responsibilities:

  • Translate business/functional requirements into technical specifications
  • Document technical designs, processes, and configurations
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to clearing ecosystem
  • Monitor, optimize, and ensure high availability of applications (e.g., IBM WebSphere)
  • Maintain security compliance and system stability through regular updates and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with IT operations and ServiceDesk teams for seamless application operations
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and automate system tasks
  • Debug and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Design and optimize databases, manage performance, and ensure security
  • Interact with databases using SQL
  • Collaborate with DBAs on configurations and deployments
  • Work closely with developers, admins, and analysts to deliver technical solutions
  • Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Document technical processes, prepare reports, and maintain system records
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to trading / clearing domain and RPG-based systems operations
  • Participate in technical training and development


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in a development related role with technical background in RPG techstack, out of which at least 3 years of proven experience in a technical leadership or integrative role
  • Proficient in IBM OS400 (AS/400) administration (system operations, commands, user account management and permissions, backup and recovery procedures, tasks automation via Shell scripting and CL commands, system performance tuning) and troubleshooting / solving OS400 issues
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere for application deployment and management
  • Familiarity IBM OS400 (AS/400) development languages RPGLE – SQLRPGLE – CLLE
  • Skilled in use of WebSmart software and its native development language PML
  • Knowledge of DB2 database and solid knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with Unix-like systems and bash scripting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent English


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Financial Markets Clearing activities and the assets cleared by the Central Counterparty Clearing House (CCP)
  • Understanding of Central Counterparty Clearing House (CCP) relations with other entities such as Markets, Central Securities Depositories (CSD) and Central Bank
  • Relevant certifications related to technical domains and / or system operations
