Division Overview:

Part of UK Schools, the Assessment division combines excellence in assessment with outstanding customer experience. This division is responsible for delivering accurate, on-time results for high-stakes UK and international qualifications to our learners and providing first-class customer service.

The Assessment division includes:

  • Delivery Team : Responsible for the strategic delivery of UK and international qualifications.
  • Content Team : Manages the accurate delivery of assessment materials.
  • Online Assessment Team : Manages the setup and delivery of online marking and item banking systems, driving innovation in assessment and transforming the use of technology in the field.


Role Overview:

As part of the Online Assessment Set-up team, the Online Assessment Set-up Analyst will be responsible for setting up assessment materials on our online marking, item banking, and onscreen testing platforms. This role covers qualifications across the UK Schools General Qualifications (GQ), Vocational Qualifications (VQ), international portfolios, and the Pearson Test of English.

Purpose:

The Online Assessment Set-up Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and error-free delivery of high-stakes UK and international qualifications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up online marking systems and supporting platforms for UK and international qualifications within time, quality, and budget constraints.
  • Being recognized as the expert in online assessment setup across Assessment, UK Schools, and international centers.


Key Accountabilities:

Online Marking and System Setup :

Accountable for the timely and accurate setup of online systems for high-stakes qualifications, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and adherence to deadlines.

Customer Expertise :

Develop deep expertise in understanding and serving customers within the qualification areas. Build effective relationships with stakeholders to address customer needs and solve problems.

Technical Assessment Expertise :

Serve as the technical expert for online marking, onscreen testing, and item banking setups. Continuously develop expertise and represent the Assessment division in strategic discussions across Pearson UK.

Innovation :

Advocate for innovation in online assessment systems and processes, helping to drive future changes.

Data Management :

Use management information (MI) to provide visibility, drive improvement, and build confidence in the assessment process. Accurately report data and escalate issues with solutions as needed.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, preferably with Grade C/4 or higher.
