The AMQ Broker QE team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to work with us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work on assuring quality for Red Hat's AMQ Broker, built on Java Messaging and OpenShift Container technologies. You will work closely with other engineers on all aspects of quality, including developing and extending automation frameworks, developing and analysing automated tests and debugging various problems. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will gain a deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies, including Java, containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat Openshift, Jenkins, etc.

What Will You Do
- Work with other quality and development engineers with a focus on improving test coverage and product quality
- Design and develop automation for testing AMQ Broker on operating systems and containers
- Analyse and prioritise quality risks and identify tests required to mitigate them
- Participate in release testing, discover product bugs and improve the release process
- Continuously improve the testing, documentation, processes and tools
What Will You Bring
- Working experience in software testing or development, including familiarity with testing methodologies and techniques
- Scripting skills and solid programming skills, e.g. Java for 1+ years
- Experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with teammates across the globe
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
The Following Are Considered a Plus
- Experience with messaging systems
- Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Experience of collaborative software development using Git
- Experience with Linux administration
- Knowledge of programming in GoLang, python, or other popular OO language
- Knowledge of security testing
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent in computer science or a related field
