We have an outstanding opportunity for a proactive and dynamic intern within our ITCo and Global Programs department, based in Munich.

Our Productivity team, being part of the ITCo and Global Programs department, is accountable for strategically guiding Allianz Group's Operating Entities in their IT business cases, with a primary focus on the overall IT strategy of the Group. We are currently in search of an intern to collaborate with us in the area of productivity steering, specifically in relation to our internal IT service provider, AZ Technology. 

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing essential KPIs and implementing productivity enhancements. This internship position is full-time, lasts for a period of 6 months, and is aimed at enrolled students only.

 

How can you make an impact? 

 

As a member of our team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting team members with their daily tasks, including evaluating and analyzing business cases of IT projects to identify potential improvements
  • Assisting in tracking the benefits of Allianz Group's global and regional projects
  • Supporting the development of our business case templates and preparing top management presentations
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of business cases
  • Identifying and developing methods, tools, and initiatives to improve the productivity of Allianz Group and OE projects
  • This experience will give you a unique opportunity to gain insights into the insurance industry and the day-to-day operations of the Allianz Group. In addition, you will develop valuable analytical skills and work independently under the guidance of senior capability leads and a personal mentor

 

What are you made of? 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

 

  • You are currently at an advanced stage of your degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or other business-related fields, and have a proven track record
  • You possess excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • You are fluent in English (min. C1), both written and spoken. Additional language skills are a plus
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year
  • We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:
    • Certificate of enrollment (exception gap year)

    • Valid Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens). Please check before applying if you can work with your current VISA

  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with numbers
  • Experience in handling and interpreting data
  • Proficiency in complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, including data modeling
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and well-structured manner
  • Experience in project work, consulting, or the financial services industry is a plus
  • High degree of sensitivity and accuracy in working on key strategic issues for the Allianz Group
