Job description

Senior QA Test Analyst – Pension & Retirement Systems
Location: Remote
Salary: $80-140k
Sabot Consulting is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Test Analyst with pension experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large organizations, particularly in state or federal government settings, and will be responsible for leading or participating in the technical implementation of software/systems/applications automating complex business processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess analysis scope and plan business analysis tasks.
  • Elicit, define, and document various business, user, and system requirements.
  • Lead and work within cross-functional teams that include business subject matter experts, application architects, developers, and testers.
  • Prepare test plans, test cases, and document test results.
  • Perform regression testing and adjust test plans for periodic maintenance releases.
  • Effective partnering with key IT/Technology Services and business communities to assist with test case development and ensure effective use of methodologies and communicate test strategies, test results, and performance.
  • Manage test planning, test scheduling, end-to-end testing, date-shifting coordination, and expertise in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting end user testing.
  • Participate in defect management including monitoring and reporting on defect status and resolution.
  • Compile and report metrics.
  • Develop and document processes and staffing requirements for defect triage/business analysis.
  • Partner with peers and management team to continuously improve testing methods, processes, techniques, and use of manual testing tools.
Must Have:
  • At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years working as a Test Analyst with large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation of software/systems/applications automating complex business processes.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years producing business analysis and testing deliverables.
  • 3 years providing business requirements and business rules.
  • 3 years providing functional & non-functional requirements and/or functional specifications.
  • 3 years providing test strategies, plans, cases, and transition plans as well as traceability matrices.
  • At least three (3) years of experience using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Rational Requisite Pro, or Jama to document functional and non-functional requirements, design specifications, test cases, and defects, and provide full traceability for projects.
  • Leading a large group of testers, ideally user acceptance testers.
  • Working with a comprehensive test management tool.
  • Business focus while possessing an understanding of testing from multiple perspectives such as System test, role-based security, technical environments, and performance.
  • Preparation/review of testing reports.
  • Proficiency at managing multiple efforts simultaneously, in an environment with ambiguity.
  • High degree of initiative and autonomy with the ability to function successfully as part of a team.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience as a Test Analyst at a State or Federal agency.
  • Experience with Sagitec Neospin.
  • Experience as a Test Analyst leading or participating in the technical implementation of pension/retirement-related software development projects.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of Pension &/or Retirement systems.
