If youre a second /third year university student eager to kickstart your career in oral health research development, this is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with industry experts, gain practical experience, and contribute to the development of globally recognised oral care brands.

As a development scientist in Haleon you are responsible for supporting the maintenance of oral care products by changing formulations and/or processes and evaluation of materials and products of commercialised products around the world.

Throughout your placement, youll have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the formulation and process changes for oral health products, helping to ensure they meet consumer needs and global standards.
• Collaborate with multiple project teams, applying your scientific knowledge, product development regulatory awareness, and consumer insights to develop new products and formulations.
• Design and carry out experiments to characterise and understand products and raw materials.
• Interpret and understand data to draw conclusions, solve problems, and identify next steps in product development.

Education Requirements:

• We welcome applicants from all degree disciplines, however degrees in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Cosmetics or related Sciences are particularly advantageous for this placement.
• If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree, you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university.
• Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.
