Job Overview
The Littleton Group is looking for a Salvage Specialist to join our growing team! Reporting to the London TPA Manager, you will handle many aspects of the total loss process for commercial transportation claims.
To be successful in this role, you need to have high-level attention to detail skills, be self-disciplined and display a high-level of personal motivation, and demonstrate superb communication skills, both written and verbal, conducted in a timely manner. You must have at least 3 years of experience in customer service-related roles and hold a valid Texas All Lines Adjuster license or be capable of obtaining this license within 90 days. Additionally, you will need to display a proven ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines. This role is a full-time, home-based position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor and maintain salvage inbox and diary
- Prepare and submit forms to appropriate vendor to secure Actual Cash Value (ACV)
- Provide the claim handler/adjuster with state requirements, taxes, and fees for total losses
- Prepare and post listing for salvage bids
- Monitor salvage listing along with accepting and/or rejecting bids
- Coordinate and oversee process of securing salvage and proceeds
- Keep claim handler/adjuster apprised of salvage status and answer salvage related questions
- Communicate via phone and email with vendors and clients regarding salvage
- Prepare salvage related forms and letters
- Document all correspondence, reports, discussions, and decisions in the claims system
- Handle incoming and outgoing salvage related mail

Experience and Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of prior experience in customer service-related positions
- Hold a valid Texas All Lines Adjuster license or be capable of securing this license within 90 days
- Maintain CEU credits for Adjuster License
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other various software programs
Preferred
- College degree
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Insurance Claims Industry related knowledge and/or experience
- Prior experience with auto/transportation claims, including total loss and/or title processing

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands
This is a home-based, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
