In this role you will contribute to our Underwriting team to achieve necessary business results. You will have the opportunity to support Coaction’s Underwriters and learn their respective lines of business. The employee in this role will have a team mentality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate for the completion of assigned projects. You must be able to perform under strict timelines. Under guidance, this individual should be able to effectively evaluate risk and risk analysis while maintaining workflows and processes.
Responsibilities
• Support the underwriting team with all activities related to account development, including but not limited to renewals and new business
• Prepare quotes and binders and review with underwriters, initially, until authority is earned to prepare independently
• Drives product/service/selection/pricing innovation for assigned book
• Communicate with brokers & clients on outstanding items and underwriting questions
• Manages assigned book and builds sustainable long-term relationships with broker partners
• Work closely with the Operations team on day-to-day functions and follow company workflow and
processes
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Ability to think critically and showcase problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to Multitask
• Previous insurance experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written
• Understanding of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with other
