Position Title: Regional Sr. Project Manager, Infrastructure Development – KSB North America
Reports To: Vice President, Operations
Location: Richmond, VA – USA (Preferred) or Remote (East Coast or Texas)
Position Summary:
As a critical member of the KSB North America operations team, the Regional Sr. Project Manager for Infrastructure Development will oversee the multi-year design, planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects related to the maintenance, upgrading, and expansion of the regional infrastructure of KSB North America. This scope will include overseeing the design and construction of a combination of new warehouses, office refurbishments, facility maintenance, and manufacturing plant expansion projects in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders across KSB North America and the KSB Headquarters in Frankenthal, Germany, as well as external contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure that projects are designed according to KSB’s high architectural design and branding standards, completed on time, within budget, and safely. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, the ability to navigate complex projects in a global company setting, and the ambition to direct a growing capital projects budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive design and project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
Oversee the execution of construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
With the help of the Procurement department, manage procurement processes for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Stakeholder Management:
Work with internal departments, including Finance, and Human Resources, to align project objectives with business goals.
Foster strong relationships with external partners including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and quality issues.
Monitor compliance with safety standards and ensure that all construction activities adhere to company policies and local regulations.
Budget and Resource Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are within approved limits.
Allocate resources effectively to ensure that all project phases are adequately staffed and equipped.
Track and report on project financials, regularly updating the finance department and senior management.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control processes to ensure that all construction work meets the company’s standards and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify the quality of work and adherence to project plans.
Project Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and final project deliverables.
Provide regular status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Construction Management:
Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and industry best practices.
Ability to manage multiple complex construction projects simultaneously.
Contractor and Designer Management:
Engage and manage relationships with contractors, designers, and other external partners.
Ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives with external stakeholders.
Evaluate contractor performance and take corrective actions as necessary.
Financial Planning and Cost Control:
Solid understanding of project budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
Develop project budgets and financial plans, ensuring accurate cost estimations.
Monitor and control project expenditures to stay within budget constraints.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in project execution.
Multi-Location Project Management:
Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, each located in different cities and sites.
Coordinate resources and activities to ensure seamless execution across diverse geographical locations.
Mitigate risks associated with multi-location project management.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) or other relevant tools.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM software, or other construction-related technologies is an advantage.
Regulatory Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards or the ability to quickly learn.
Understanding of construction standards and practices in the USA is required. Familiarity with Canada’s and Mexico’s or the ability to learn quickly are a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, focusing on commercial or industrial infrastructure.
Experience in managing medium and large-scale projects within a global or regional division of a company is highly desirable.
Experience in warehouse construction, office refurbishments, or manufacturing facility maintenance and expansion projects is desirable.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel in the US (~25%) and internationally as required to oversee projects.
Ability to lead and operate autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
