Position Summary

The Consultant provides unclaimed property compliance and consulting services. Support client portfolio to prepare jurisdictional unclaimed property reports on a seasonal basis. Performs and assists in data modeling and standardization, financial system general ledger reconciliations and automation, and other various tasks related to Unclaimed Property.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, and document potential unclaimed property
  • Standardize client’s source data utilizing technology solutions
  • Conduct data analytics on client unclaimed property records and organize client data by means of systems review and data integration
  • Generate due diligence letters
  • Manage, track, and organize owner responses
  • Reissue owner payments
  • Conduct basic unclaimed property research under supervision
  • Prepare and remit unclaimed property reports and requests for funding adhering to designated calendar deadlines
  • Communicate written and verbally to convey information effectively both internally and externally
  • Keep informed of current technical developments and effectively apply knowledge to client situations

 

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in unclaimed property or similar field
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills required
  • Experience with data extraction/standardization and analytic technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accountable and adaptable, with special adherence to time management under crucial deadline
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 5-10%)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position does not qualify for employment-based sponsorship.
