The Service Now Developer role is a key member of the ServiceNow team, working closely with program managers, stakeholders, and team members to deliver solutions on the ServiceNow platform at Veeam. We are looking for someone with development experience with the ServiceNow platform and a strong understanding of modern development processes. You will be responsible for delivering features, identifying areas of improvement and technical advancement of ServiceNow at Veeam.

ServiceNow is a fast paced and innovative platform for a developer. Any candidate for this role should be comfortable working in unfamiliar or new areas of the platform, reading online documentation, and ensuring your skills are evolving with ServiceNow releases as well as our own roadmap and vision. In addition to the required skills, you should be comfortable interacting outside of the IT department with the business and have a high degree of business aptitude, professional maturity, and poise.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Align our platform with best practices and new solutions released by ServiceNow
  • Utilize out-of-the-box or value-added features to fulfill business requests and initiatives
  • Contribute to the technical requirements surrounding complex business or process changes
  • Keep pace with your knowledge of changes coming from ServiceNow in their new releases
  • Identify new and innovative ways to leverage ServiceNow within Veeam
  • Evaluate, document, and develop integrations with new or existing enterprise platforms
  • Ensure solutions are secure, stable, and available to our users
  • Provide innovative solutions and ideas for process or platform automation
  • Participate in testing and troubleshooting of existing systems
  • Maintain technical documentation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication, planning, problem solving, trouble shooting, and organizational skills
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules and integrations
  • Experience with configuration and customization Workspace or Service Portal
  • Experience in SAM, HAM, ITOM, GRC, SecOps or PA is considered an advantage
  • Understanding of web services (REST, JSON, SOAP, OAuth)
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow scripting
  • Proven ability to automate common business requests (service catalog, integrations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of common end-to-end business processes
  • Willingness to be flexible with meeting times with EMEA team members

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years ServiceNow development experience
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (required)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Administrator (preferred)
  • ITIL v4 Certification (preferred)

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.
