The Personal Protection Market Development Leader (MDL), is responsible for oversight of the Hand Protection Sub-segment & Sustainability growth portfolios across Personal Protection. DuPont Aramids’ Personal Protection business is a global industry leader providing high-performance solutions to protect workers in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Utilities, Automotive, Emergency Response and Military verticals. The business offers a broad portfolio range of Nomex® & Kevlar® personal protective equipment (PPE) solutions that protect workers against flash fire, arc and cut hazards.
The Global Market Development Leader, Hand Protection & Sustainability, is responsible for, overseeing the growth pipeline and driving the critical growth initiatives across O&G, Chemical, Automotive and Utilities industries, consistent with the overall strategy including new offerings, new business models and adjacencies in the hand protection space as well as key sustainability initiatives. S/he will directly report to the Global Marketing Leader, Aramids Personal Protection.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead cross functional teams to execute on key growth program initiatives. Work in conjunction with the Regional Marketing Leaders to assess results, financial ROI.
- Execute market assessments for future growth initiatives. Where needed, drive integrated growth plans for the segment; help support business case needs and financial assessments.
- Identify new growth opportunities within the assigned market segments; lead, build and prioritize new product/ application development programs to address portfolio gaps in newly identified spaces.
- Support segment strategy and execution processes, coordination of regional inputs and category leader inputs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required; a major/concentration in Marketing, Business, or related field is desired; a degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material science or closely related field will also be considered
- Project Management Certification, Master's degree or MBA are a plus
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
- Self-starter with a strategic view and hands-on approach
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and innovative environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams with strong execution and decision-making skills; prior experience in working in and/or leading cross-functional teams is highly desirable
- Excellent written and spoken English skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and critical thinking with the ability to make data-driven decisions and actionable recommendations
