We are seeking a skilled professional to join a cutting-edge proprietary trading firm with a strong global presence. Established in 2017, the company has leveraged over two decades of market trading experience to specialize in navigating complex financial markets through comprehensive research, market microstructure analysis, and liquidity management. With over 150 employees working remotely worldwide, the firm emphasizes algorithmic trading strategies backed by rigorous testing to achieve high-speed and efficient trading outcomes. The company operates in key financial markets across the United States, Switzerland, Dubai, Cyprus, Hong Kong, and Brazil, supporting both traditional and cryptocurrency trading.


As a Portfolio Manager, your primary responsibility will be to build, mentor, and lead trading teams with the goal of generating sustainable profits within defined risk parameters. 

We are seeking someone with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, identifying and nurturing top talent, managing a trading book effectively, and consistently driving profitable performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Growth & Diversification: Drive continuous growth in portfolio profitability by diversifying across strategies and markets, while effectively managing risk costs and identifying opportunities to maximize returns in higher-risk areas.
  • Hire and Mentor Traders: Actively participate in the recruitment process by identifying and selecting top trader talent. Mentor traders post-hiring, providing guidance on strategy development and performance, and helping them align with firm objectives.
  • Collaborate with Traders and Teams: Work closely with traders to gain insights into strategy execution and provide performance feedback. Align with developers and quants to improve system capabilities and data analysis tools.
  • PnL Stability & Strategic Collaboration: Initiate investment decisions and drive consistent growth of the trading PnL, while ensuring its stability through effective risk management. Collaborate closely with business development teams to explore and develop new trading opportunities.
  • Monitor and Detect Performance Issues: Track the performance of various trading strategies, using statistical methods to identify deviations, underperformance, and anomalies. Diagnose potential causes and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Enhance and Automate Reporting Framework: Lead the automation of performance monitoring and detection within the firm's PnL/position reporting infrastructure. Collaborate with developers to improve the robustness and efficiency of the reporting systems, ensuring accurate, timely data and automated alerts for strategy performance issues.
  • Develop Incentive Structures and Manage Resources: Participate in the development of optimal incentive structures to drive trader performance. Contribute to resource and budget planning to align with the firm’s long-term objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Strong trading background: proven experience in trading with a solid understanding of major financial instruments (equities, derivatives, crypto) and algorithmic trading strategies. The candidate should be able to assess strategy performance and provide insights into optimization.
  • Experience with portfolio management, risk analysis, or performance monitoring, ideally in a trading environment.
  • Experience with hiring and mentoring traders, with a focus on performance-driven results.
  • Analytical expertise in detecting and diagnosing performance issues using statistical analysis, probability theory, or similar data-driven methodologies.
  • Experience with Python, R, or other data analysis languages.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills for effective collaboration with traders, quants, and developers.
  • Experience in developing incentive structures and managing resources and budgets.
