Job Summary

This position provides financial guidance, direction, and analytical support for the Business Growth area within Harley-Davidson. It will be responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting for the relevant P&L’s and Balance Sheets, as well as provide insights and analytics to influence revenue and margin performance and operating expense management. This position will also be responsible for the financial management of the monthly/quarterly results and annual budgeting and forecasting activities and be a key financial partner to influence decisions within the Business Growth channel.

Job Responsibilities

•   Provides comprehensive financial support, including, but not limited to, financial modeling and analysis, consolidation of P&L for annual operating plan and long-range plan.
•   Business partnership for strategic planning and coordination among business stakeholders for the consolidation of P&L and annual target setting to deliver appropriate operating income results to HDIs bottom line
•   Support Business Growth leaders with the financial management of costs, coordinates the development, and assist in the preparation of all budgets and forecasts for expense, capital, and headcount in accordance with the financial planning calendar.
•   Provides monthly financial support to the business: Record month-end journal entries/accruals; Assure all expenses are recorded in the month incurred; and Analyze spending variances
•   Manages key audit controls for GAAP compliance and tax recognition
•   Participate in special projects as needed

Bachelor's Degree Required

Education Specifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. ACPA or equivalent is desired.

Experience in a manufacturing setting performing cost accounting activities is preferred but not required.SAP experience a plus.

Experience Requirements

Required
•   Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years of related experience.
•   The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years related work and/or public accounting experience.
•   Demonstrated competency in the use of spreadsheets and accounting systems for the purpose of analysis and financial modeling;
•   Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
•   Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements.
•   Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective.
•   Excellent organizational skills – ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
Preferred
•   SAP experience a plus.
