Job description

Paradigm is a software company transforming the way that the residential, construction & building product industries operate across the globe.

We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to be part of revolutionizing these industries.

What You Will Do:

  • You love people. People are our product. You will provide first line support/triage/realignment for employee relation issues and questions. You will also be an escalation point.
  • You will provide oversight of accurate record retention & filing and filing of mandatory, non-mandatory & work assessments.
  • You will research and draft HR policies and procedures, looking for efficiencies, effectiveness, compliance and innovation.
  • You will conduct check in’s with all new employees, addressing issues and escalating as needed.
  • You will provide training on various HR topics (harassment, D&I, recruitment).
  • You will oversee multiple audits, ensuring compliance and execution.
  • You will identify, present and execute on employee engagement, including HR initiated events.
  • You will be responsible for the employee termination process, including exit interviews.
  • You will be responsible for the execution of the Annual Employee Survey.
  • You will provide performance management including execution of processes (PIP-informal/formal), documentation & communication.
  • We are a scrappy HR dept. If coffee needs to get made-we do it. If furniture needs to be moved-we step up. You must be willing to help out with some random, outside of the traditional role duties as they arise.
  • You will be the main point of contact with our HR Consultancy, providing direct influence over our Canadian processes.
  • You may be responsible for project work. Examples may include Wellness Committee, Employee Recognition Programs (maintenance and communication)- Experience, writing job descriptions, and More!
  • You will be responsible for a variety of EOM and Yearly reporting.
  • You will assist with coaching and mentoring other HR team members.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • You will have a Bachelor’s Degree or related experience AND 6+ years of experience with a Human Resources dept.
  • You must love juggling multiple priorities. Organized chaos is where you thrive.
  • You have very strong knowledge of HR policies & standard practices. This includes both tactical HR knowledge and practitioner knowledge.
  • You have excellent customer service and strong communication (both written & verbal). You are very organized with strong attentive to detail and excellent follow-through.
  • You are self-motivated and resourceful, with strong interpersonal skills; able to work individually as well as with a team.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. Most roles at Paradigm have three levels, Associate, Mid and Senior. Our pay ranges are inclusive of all three levels (if applicable), our US based Associate level pay begins at $42,960 annually for this role. The salary does not reflect total compensation, which includes base salary and benefits. These compensation levels are subject to an annual review.
