Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Senior Network Architect. Position can be Remote as long as available from 8-6 EST.

Must Haves

  • 5-7 years minimum experience
  • Must have network infrastructure, network design, network architecture experience. Will be troubleshooting in these areas.
  • Not looking for someone with Network Ops experience.
  • Scripting experience is nice to have – use Python, Lambdas,
  • AWS Cloud is a Must have – everything is built out in AWS Cloud
  • Splunk – Must have familiarity with
  • Crowd Strike- team uses- Must have familiarity with
  • WIZ- another tool used on team
  • Firewall experience a Must
  • Port and Protocol experience

Description :

  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas, and using controls and policies to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
  • Define and propose infrastructure and cybersecurity best practices and secure development patterns.
  • Coordinate security standards refresh tasks to evaluate existing standards and guidelines and coordinate document refresh with Staff Architects.
  • Assist in developing security metrics and insights program
  • Research and investigate new effective ways of delivering security architecture-as-code, building automation into the existing security review process workflow and developer kits and pipelines.
  • Partner with Security Engineering teams to design and implement telemetry to support security architecture standards compliance and risk insights.
  • Process FW escalations requests, review configuration, troubleshoot mitigative solutions and leverage network scanning/security architecture tools, etc.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Information Security Cybersecurity, IT, Network Engineering, or 2+ years of experience with performing network or cloud security in lieu of a degree

Minimum 5-7 years working in an Information / Cyber Security related field

  • Knowledge of public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and supporting technologies (Cloud Formation, Terraform, etc.)
  • Knowledge of interconnected network systems, basic network security principals, and well-known ports and protocols
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general security threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, PowerShell, Yara) .
  • Effective communication skills across all organization and technological levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Candidate should be able to succeed in both independent and collaborative work scenarios.
  • Ability to work in a challenged environment with open mind to learn
  • Able to use critical thinking and logical thinking to prioritize work that drives the most impact to overall security posture
  • Ability to analyze problems related to security architecture tools and provide improvements for streamlining development processes
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise working with in network security, network architecture, and/or cloud systems engineering

  • Experience in coding such as Python and other programing languages.
  • Experience with Splunk
  • Experience building Splunk dashboards
  • Twistlock
