About the Role:

The Associate Director, Corporate Accounting, will manage a team with ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual close accounting processes for SpringWorks Therapeutics, delivering results accurately and timely. In addition to key accounting deliverables this role will also develop efficiencies and accuracy of accounting operations for the function.  

The Associate Director, Corporate Accounting is a leadership position within the Accounting Department reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting with a goal of developing team members and collaborating with the other departments and outside consultants to drive continuous improvement in financial operations. 

Location Classification – Hybrid:

This role will be required to work onsite 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), or more depending on business needs. #LI-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct activities to timely and accurately record transactions in the General Ledger accounts and complete month and quarter end close responsibilities. 
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure all accruals are complete and recorded timely. 
  • Own the close process including close responsibility assignment and governance. 
  • Provide leadership for finance team including supervision of accounting staff, informally or formally, as needed. 
  • Work with controller to develop, implement and maintain controls, systems, procedures and policies, including accounting and reporting policies and practices, compliant with GAAP rules and regulations of the SEC. 
  • Evaluate accounting processes and redesign processes as necessary to improve accuracy and efficiency of the process.  
  • Collaborate with technical accounting to add processes and capabilities as new accounting processes or requirements arise  
  • Ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data, for internal and external financial reporting. 
  • Oversee utilization of automation tools including Blackline to ensure appropriate use is maintained.  
  • Assist with preparation of annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Q for SEC reporting. 
  • Interface with external auditors for quarterly reviews, annual financial statements audits, including preparation of required schedules and documentations. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant finance discipline. Advanced Degree preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in public accounting within a publicly traded or large private company, comparable industry experience preferred. 
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting literature to Company business transactions  
  • Experience with SAP, Blackline and Coupa preferred. 
  • Ability to lead effectively lead, motivate, influence key stakeholders, drive decisions and ensure compliance cross-functionally

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is $138,300.00 - $182,500.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
