Job description

SUMMER 2025

Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern will assist with reporting, forecasting and analysis of the Company’s financial results. These activities will involve assisting with the preparation of financial business models to evaluate investment opportunities, assisting the team in the preparation of monthly reports and forecasts, as well as analyzing actual variances to budget for Divisional Operating Expenses on a monthly basis. The intern will also assist in trend analysis around key General Ledger account categories.

This Internship is remote.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the actual results versus the budget and prepare explanations for month-end
  • Update and assist in preparation of financial reports for various stakeholders including Divisional Vice Presidents and other Senior Leadership
  • Assist with the creation of financial business models for investment opportunities. Utilize discounted cash flow metrics including ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback periods to evaluate opportunities and summarize findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly forecast for various Operating Expense Divisions
  • Develop trend analysis reporting for sales, operating expenses, etc.
  • Support business partners by aiding in answering questions about financial results
  • Provide assistance in the enhancement / automation of existing processes

Qualifications

  • In-process of a bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • Able to analyze and interpret data within Excel
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ample questioning skills to analyze concepts/situations and ask relevant questions
  • Flexibility to changing tasks and requests
  • Self-motivated, team player, willingness to help others, detail-oriented
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including customer service

Each internship has an hourly rate which varies from $21-$40 per hour based on job function (Engineering, IT, Business, etc) and year completed in school (Junior, Masters 2nd year, PHD, etc).
