Description

Responsible for maintaining the Corporate and separate entity charge masters in the patient accounting system as well as third party CDM tools. Assist in maintaining audit trail of charge master changes. Able to make informed decisions as to what needs to be changed in the charge master and notifying the appropriate area that will be affected by that change. Responsible for updating and monitoring the integrity of the charge description master and the ancillary systems to which the charge description master is deployed. Estimated pay range for this position is $20.94 - $25.34 / hour depending on experience.

  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Additional Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field required or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Specialized training in chargemaster, ICD10 or CPT/HCPCS coding preferred.
  • Hospital experience which includes exposure to and familiarity with Medicare program regulations for charging and billing, including knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes, UB04 and CMS1500 forms preferred.
  • Hands on experience setting up and maintaining spreadsheets using Excel and Access required.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding or experience with Soarian Financials is a plus.
