Senior Financial Analyst

This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Cherokee Federal. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in financial analysis, particularly in utilizing Cost of Service Model (CoSM) and Activity Based Costing (ABC) methodologies within the DoD sphere. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in coordinating and updating our cost models, providing valuable insights for program management and decision-making.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Financial Analyst: 75K-90K
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.

Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in financial analysis tasks such as variance analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management review.
  • Conducting research and data gathering to support financial decision-making processes.
  • Participating in budgeting and forecasting activities, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of investment opportunities and potential risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and insights.
  • Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.
  • Adhering to financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.
  • Providing support to senior financial analysts and managers in various financial activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Senior Financial Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Internships or entry-level positions in finance or accounting are beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with financial data and perform quantitative analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new concepts and tools.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ethical and professional conduct in handling confidential financial information.
