Your Impact

This position involves planning and leading quality and production improvements, using verification and production ramp-up of tooling and equipment involved in the assembly of instruments, controls, and monitors used in the Electric Utility Transmission and Distribution Industry.

Here’s Where You’ll Demonstrate Your Proficiencies

  • Investigates, analyzes, develops, and determines processes and process improvements for new and existing products.
  • Plans equipment layout and workflow to maintain safe and efficient utilization of plant resources.
  • Coordinates Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities with special emphasis on standard work, one-piece flow, visual controls and 5S.
  • Assists in the development of new methods, tooling, test systems, and machine designs that reduce cycle time and improves productivity and quality.
  • Act as primary contact for Key Customers and provide 8D responses for quality issues.
  • Host and lead customer visits and factory audits.
  • Extensive Troubleshooting of internal and external DPM Issues, implements corrective action, and checks for effectiveness.
  • RELOCATION IS REQUIRED- ASSISTANCE PROVIDED

Qualifications - Internal

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • BS Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2+ years in a similar role supporting a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proven analytical/statistical problem-solving skills, process improvement, and knowledge of process control.
  • DFM and/or Lean production flow knowledge.
  • Must be very proficient using spreadsheets to aid analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Lab View and ISO9001 Quality System is preferred.
  • Hands-on mechanical ability and solving tool and equipment challenges.
  • Ability to provide positive, consistent communication with associates throughout the organization.
  • Driven to get results and make an impactful change

Working Conditions: (especially manufacturing and field service positions)

  • Office and Factory environment.
  • Safety glasses required while on factory floor.

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $63,000.00 - $117,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
