The Energy Storage - Senior Project Manager - Remote will lead project teams and work in partnership with SMEs and subcontractors.

Overseeing the preconstruction. quality, and execution of Utility-Scale Energy Storage projects across the US.

Client Details

My client are a newer, but not brand new, EPC contractor who work on utility-scale BESS & Solar projects across the country.

They're a growing outfit, and the right person could come on board, further build out the pipeline, team, and then oversee it all.

Description

The Energy Storage - Senior Project Manager - Remote will -

• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in various stages of the project life-cycle.
• Provide leadership and oversight of complex change management events involving Owners, Subcontractors, and/or regulating entities.
• Provide support to other departments including business development, estimating, and services.
• Support the development of standards and processes to improve the business.
• Able to perform all Project Manager's responsibilities, including:
• • Work with project execution team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Owner, Engineer, and Subcontractors, lead scheduling, cost control, quantity tracking, etc
  • Project reporting
  • Manage project budget.
  • Change orders.

Profile

The ideal Project Manager (Energy Storage) will have -

• BS in Construction Management or relevant experience.
• 10+ years experience in Engineering or Construction - ideally mostly in Solar, BESS, Power Generation.
• 5+ years working with BESS &/or Substations
• Someone who's progressed up the ranks at a well-established EPC.
• Ability to scope & manager design firms - 30/60/90% deliverables across Civil, Structural, & Electrical.
• Experience taking projects through pre-construction phase - Not asking for a detailed/full fledged pre-con person, but comfortable working without a fully engineered set of project documents.
• Project budget/finance acumen - Someone who's recent monthly project level accounting (Budget, Pay apps, change orders, etc)
• Travel up to 50% at a time.

Job Offer

For the right Energy Storage - Senior Project Manager - Remote there will be:

• Base salary up to $200k+
• Travel up to 50%
• Annual bonus
• Ideally based in Illinois/Chicago, but open to 100% remote.
