About The Opportunity

The Ellucian Professional Services team is seeking an energetic, dynamic, and collaborative Senior Integration Engineer (Senior Consultant) to help customers build integration infrastructure to help our SaaS and Data Integration strategy. This impactful and visible role requires someone who can build great relationships and strategies for Ethos Integration, the central nervous system of the modern Higher Education-connected campus.

As Senior Integration Engineer, you will lead integration development projects, supporting the business capabilities that provide core functionality in running the client business higher education businesses. You will analyze business requirements and ensure implemented integrations are effectively integrated into the modernization technology ecosystem. You will ensure that the technology solutions delivered are aligned with enterprise strategies and adhere to target reference architectures by applying sound architectural principles & best practices and following client’s IT governance processes and guidelines. This role is critical as we build our next-generation services and capabilities to mature our solution on the cloud. This role will assist our key technology strategy while directly responsible for service architecture, which integrates several of our products/solutions across the enterprise. Where you will make an impact

• Schedule and conduct meetings with customer representatives to understand their requirements and capture those requirements accurately for use in downstream phases of the software development life cycle.
• Be able to identify appropriate technologies for the solution given the constraints of the client environment.
• Propose architectures that are cost-effective and in line with Ellucian’s desired product direction.
• Provide project guidance and coordination with offshore resources to complete projects on time and within budget constraints.
• Prepare concise technical documents that accurately describe project requirements and specifications for delivery.
• Work with a dynamic team of developers and other peers to Architect, build and test the processes according to the prepared specifications.
• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for integrations and sales proposals.
• Demonstrated aptitude in problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to deconstruct complex technical structures to perform root cause analysis in troubleshooting application and integration issues.
• Stay current with Ellucian applications.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers and assist other Professional Services teams.
• Have an aptitude for learning new technologies with an eagerness to improve the practice constantly.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• 8+ years of experience working with the following application development frameworks e.g.: NodeJS, React.js etc. (having exp with any of them is fine)
• 8+ years experience in web service development and integration patterns using REST or SOAP, JMS messaging, Request/Reply, and Publish /Subscriber models.
• 5+ Complex integration architecture and design experience with working experience and knowledge on at least one ESB integration platform (MuleSoft ESB, Oracle SOA/OSB, IBM Websphere ESB, Microsoft Biztalk)
• Good SOA architecture understanding. Hands-on experience designing and developing inbound and outbound integration interfaces with API Web services (REST and SOAP service development skills)
• Knowledge and experience with XML-related technologies (XML, XSD etc)
• Knowledge and experience in HTTP, REST, SOAP, JSON technologies
• Knowledge and experience of databases (SQL)
• Knowledge and experience with Software Version Control systems: GIT, SVN etc.
• Knowledge and experience with CI/CD processes and tools
• Knowledge and experience with team collaboration platforms, e.g. AzureDevOps , and strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong communication experience leading complex projects

• Knowledge of higher education ERPs like Banner and Colleague or any products leading integrations in higher education business
• Lambda, CloudWatch, Document DB, ECS, and Terraform
