Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A leading national law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its litigation practice in Texas, with hybrid work arrangements available in Houston. Remote work options are also available for candidates based elsewhere in Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex commercial litigation or general liability defense and be ready to take on significant responsibilities, including managing discovery and depositions. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking a high level of responsibility in a growing legal practice.Duties:Handle complex commercial litigation and general liability defense matters.Work on cases involving construction defect, product liability, premises liability, tort litigation, and automobile liability.Manage large-scale discovery, including document review and depositions.Draft complex legal documents, including opinions and motions.Participate in court appearances and argue motions.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and handle trial preparation.Opportunity to work on appellate matters, including drafting briefs and participating in appeals (optional).Requirements:Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience in commercial litigation or general liability defense.Experience in areas such as construction defect, product liability, tort litigation, and premises liability.Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting complex motions and legal opinions.Ability to manage cases independently, including discovery and depositions.Appellate experience or interest in appellate work is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Texas State Bar (required).Skills:Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Excellent oral and written communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
