Overview:

Position: Report Developer I (SQL)

 

Location: Austin, TX or Remote*

 

Pay: up to 90K DOE

 

Position Summary:  

The Servicing MIS group is seeking a Report Developer I to build reports and solutions for multiple business users across servicing. Servicing MIS is responsible for reports, ETL, and automation for all of mortgage servicing at NAF including default, foreclosure, performing servicing and more. Responsibilities and desired skills include but not limited to the following:

  1. Build and innovate automation solutions, reports, ETL pipelines, and more using Microsoft T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI, MoveIt, VBS or other scripting languages
  2. Develop and maintain Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Synonyms, and Triggers
  3. Following standards to create a user friendly and consistent appearance
  4. Maintaining code in Azure DevOps code repository
  5. Cultivate an understanding of business processes, systems, and various data sources to become more effective and efficient with report development
  6. Work with business users and\or business analysts to understand and develop report requirements
  7. Daily work with backlog of production support tickets, coordinate all systems enhancements as well as research and test new features of the Loan Servicing platform
  8. Participate in code reviews, debug, or enhance existing code and troubleshoot for issues
  9. Assist with report and table sun-setting and cleanup including bringing legacy reports and tables up to standard
  10. Adhering to guidelines and standards
  11. Participate in weekly On-Call rotation.
  12. Able to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities across multiple business users.
Qualifications:

Desired Competencies:

  1. 1+ years’ experience developing reports using SQL and creating reports in SSRS, Excel, or PowerBI
  2. 1+ years demonstrated experience in the mortgage servicing industry including early default, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, escrow, loan boarding, etc.
  1. 1+ years’ experience with Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) application environment
  2. Experience with Azure DevOps
  3. Experience in designing, developing, and testing ETL processes using SSIS
  4. Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, VB script, python
  5. Perform SQL query tuning and performance optimization on complex inefficient queries
  1. Strong prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain several concurrent activities while managing user expectations
  2. Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment without daily oversight
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Education/Experience: The ideal candidate should be a highly successful mortgage servicing professional with at least 3 years of experience in the Mortgage Technology or Servicing Sector. The candidate should bring the following:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related fields or comparable experience and training
  2. 1+ years SQL, SQL Server Agent Jobs, SSRS, ETL, stored procedures, triggers, table creation, etc.
  3. 1+ years Mortgage Experience
  4. *Remote candidates should have 1+ years remote experience working with teams across multiple time zones
