Overview:
Our State Government Practice Group is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team serving state government finance and administration clients. You will support and advise clients in project oversight of software system implementation projects. Your first project will be supporting an Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) team. You will report to the IV&V project manager.
Travel Expectations: While the current project work is located in Kentucky (primarily remote, with occasional travel), candidates must be willing to travel 50% of the time for future projects.
You Will:
- Collaborate with team members to plan, develop and implement project activities to achieve project and client goals.
- Lead and/or support compliance effort, analyzing requirements, assessing deliverables, communicating findings to client
- Lead and/or support independent validation and verification (IV&V) reviews and reporting
- Ability to lead team of consultant to complete project activities, establish procedures, and manage schedule
- Prepare and/or edit status reports, executive briefings, and presentations
- Interact with team members for preparation of progress report, submission of deliverables, and action items
- Identify potential risks and issues to project success
- Create and maintain document templates
- Facilitate meetings
- Develop and present client communications, both written and verbal
You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS). May substitute four years of applicable experience for degree
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Experience with Unemployment Insurance system implementation projects
- Background working with state governments on IT projects
- Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner required
- Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse constituencies and work independently as well as collaboratively as required
- Strong written and verbal communication including tactful communications with difficult messages
- Ability to review compliance language and perform gap analysis
- Excellent analytic, problem-solving and organizational skills required
- Knowledgeable in quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem management skills
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a team setting
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint desired
Compensation Details:
The base salary range targeted for this role is $105,000 - $135,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
