Roles & Responsibilities:
• MRB Support
o Perform functional analysis for product non-conformities based on design criteria, field serviceable limits, and certification documents of aircraft structural and mechanical systems design issues.
o Direct interface with other internal/external engineering areas involved on non-conformity analysis.
o Substantiate the disposition of non-conformities as required and present it for the local authorities.
o Interpret the Stress Analysis Reports and documentation according to certification regulations.
o Suggest the required analysis to substantiate changes to a component based upon the capability of the production processes or suggest improvements to the current process to reduce or eliminate MRB.
o Provide engineering support and review for production process improvements and changes.
o Evaluate fit, form, function and life of the components relative to the certified configuration.
• Component Design and Analysis Support
o Capture system requirements from the customer and incorporate into the component design
o Develop components and modules keeping cost, performance, life, and system requirements in mind
o Support team with their design and analysis of the component using CAE tools (NX, ANSYS Classic, ANSYS workbench)
o Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve a wide range of challenging engineering problems.
o Evaluate fit, form, function and life of the components relative to the certified configuration.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):
• 25+ years of experience in the gas turbine industry
• BS/B.Tech in Aerospace/Mechanical engineering
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, maintain composure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to interact with employees/managers at all levels with strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel required
• US Citizen required due to the nature of work
Desired Skills:
• Project Management experience is a plus
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
• Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
• Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• This is a part time role, hours are flexible from 8-29/wk
• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
