Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transactional Paralegal to join our esteemed municipal law team. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant legal matters impacting local governments across North Texas, while working within a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with various transactional matters, including:
    • Municipal Bonds: Facilitating the issuance of municipal bonds through due diligence, document preparation, and compliance oversight.
    • Real Estate Transactions: Supporting real estate dealings such as land acquisition, easement negotiation, and lease agreement formulation.
    • Intergovernmental Agreements: Drafting and revising agreements between municipal and governmental entities.
    • Economic Development: Aiding in economic development initiatives, encompassing incentive agreements and public-private partnerships.
    • Additional Transactions: Providing assistance for other transactional matters as required, including contracts, permits, and zoning approvals.
Required Skills

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience within a transactional law firm or similar context.
  • Comprehensive understanding of municipal law and regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Qualifications

  • A proven track record in transactional legal support is essential, along with a paralegal certification or equivalent experience.
