Job Overview

We are on the lookout for an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for independently crafting high-quality, error-free code while ensuring robust validation processes for applications. You will also take on a mentorship role, guiding fellow developers and collaborating closely with our Lead Software Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Independently develop and validate error-free code for data-centric applications.
Mentor and assist other developers in their projects.
Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the effective implementation of proposed designs and the successful completion of various projects.
Oversee the development and integration of computer programs.
Fully comprehend business needs while adhering strictly to client requirements.

Required Skills

4+ years of hands-on experience in developing data-centric applications.
Proficiency in code refactoring, data format conversion, and transitioning data from raw to curated states.
4+ years of experience in creating data transformation and validation logic.
In-depth understanding of best practices for streaming and batch data processing.
Advanced knowledge of various data formats such as JSON, XML, and Parquet, alongside data modeling practices.
Experience in shaping and transforming data into third normal form and dimensional models.
Expertise in structuring and managing Data Lake file systems for substantial data volumes.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data engineering roles.
Proven track record in developing sophisticated data-centric applications and data transformation logic.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
