Job description

If you have a passion for building capability in others, Georgia-Pacific Corrugated is seeking a qualified professional for our Learning and Development Coordinator role. This position will support the design, development, and implementation of training for various plants, as well as help perform analyses to support a systematic approach to the training and qualification process. You will collaborate with operations leaders across Georgia-Pacific to share best practices and ensure a consistent and positive learning experience for our employees.

Location: This position is a remote based role with up to 40% travel supporting our Corrugated facilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain training content used for plant operations training programs.
  • Participate in and oversee the execution of training in various environments to ensure plant staff is trained and qualified as required.
  • Observe, evaluate, and provides feedback on training activities, use of systematic approach to training processes, and Learning and Development.
  • Partner with Operations Leaders to ensure adequate resources are trained to facilitate training for both new employees and tenured reskilling and upskilling.
  • Ensure that plant training documentation and qualification guides for plant employees and various departments are maintained according to standards.
  • Ensure training is being delivered, documented, validated, and verified in accordance with Georgia Pacific standards.
  • Support the Technical Standards Program.
  • Be a self-starter and hold self-accountable for commitments and results


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in training coordination or facilitation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in building learning materials to support knowledge transfer and/or improve performance standards.
  • Experience with writing and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Operations or Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in training program documentation and records management.
  • Experience with change management/transformation initiatives.
  • Experience using content authoring software and working with multiple software functions (administrative or within a Learning Management System (LMS) or Knowledge Management System (KMS)
