Job Overview

Join a prestigious legal team as an Associate Attorney specializing in Civil Defense. This fully remote position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on high-stakes civil defense litigation while advancing your legal career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in a variety of civil defense litigation cases including, but not limited to, insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial disputes.
  • Oversee a diverse array of cases from initial filing through trial, ensuring outstanding client service.
  • Draft essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests with utmost accuracy.
  • Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis to formulate effective litigation strategies.
  • Engage in depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitration proceedings as necessary.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant legal standards and regulations to uphold compliance.
  • Proactively identify and address the needs and priorities of attorneys, clients, and the firm.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing (California or Nevada).
  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, with a focus on areas such as insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial law.
  • Exceptional research and writing capabilities.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team framework.
  • Billable hours requirement of 1,850 hours annually.
