Job Overview

We are on the hunt for a meticulous and organized Events Project Manager to join our dynamic commercial marketing team. This remote position offers the opportunity to manage and execute conventions and events primarily across the United States, with some international responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude for negotiation, excel in high-pressure environments, and adeptly coordinate intricate logistics to ensure the successful execution of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead all facets of event planning, ensuring that event objectives align with overarching business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to set meeting agendas, select appropriate venues, and manage all logistical aspects including hotel arrangements, transportation, and travel.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and cultivate strong relationships to enhance cost efficiency while maintaining superior event quality.
  • Oversee on-site event management, ensuring seamless execution and promptly addressing any unforeseen challenges.
  • Prepare comprehensive event materials, track RSVPs, and manage attendee logistics to facilitate smooth participation.
  • Administer event budgets, verify vendor invoices for precision, and compile detailed financial summaries post-event.
  • Provide project management support for internal events, such as corporate celebrations and team-building activities, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, combined with 5-7 years of experience in corporate event planning or project management.
  • CMP designation is preferred but not mandatory.
