Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our remote educational team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of K-12 students with diverse learning needs through personalized online instruction and digital engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized, one-on-one online instruction for K-12 students with various disabilities, ensuring each student receives the necessary support to succeed.
  • Create, implement, and oversee Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning accommodations in a virtual format.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with families, general educators, and support staff via virtual meetings to establish a robust support network for each student.
  • Utilize online assessment tools to evaluate and monitor student progress, providing consistent and clear feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Actively participate in virtual IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other collaborative opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and assistive technology tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in a digital teaching environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to design and implement customized learning plans for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Tennessee teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Prior experience teaching students with disabilities in a K-12 environment, demonstrating a solid understanding of their unique learning challenges.
