Position Title: Remote Music Adjunct Faculty

Position Overview

We invite passionate and qualified candidates to join our esteemed institution as Adjunct Faculty in Music. This role is designed for dedicated instructors who are committed to enhancing student success and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to students across various skill levels in a range of musical instruments, utilizing both in-person and online formats.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate effective teaching techniques.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty members to prepare students for final jury examinations and participate in jury panels when required.
  • Design syllabi that clearly outline course objectives and align with established learning outcomes.
  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies to address the varied learning needs of students.
  • Direct students to campus resources that support their educational experience.
  • Maintain availability to teach classes during various times throughout the week.

Required Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of students and colleagues.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of music teaching principles and practices at the post-secondary level.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Music or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Preferred candidates will have two to three years of documented experience teaching music at the collegiate level and demonstrate excellence in teaching.
