Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Medical Collections Representative to join our remote team. This role involves managing both incoming and outgoing communications with patients, addressing billing queries, and facilitating payment processing, including financial assistance programs. You will work collaboratively with patients to establish manageable payment plans, ensuring thorough documentation of collection efforts while striving to meet or exceed our collection goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Manage inbound and outbound communications to address patients' inquiries regarding billing, payment processing, and eligibility for financial assistance programs.
  • Payment Processing: Execute payment transactions using various methods, including credit/debit cards, electronic funds transfers, and alternative payment options.
  • Payment Arrangements: Collaborate with patients to devise personalized payment plans that accommodate their financial situations and align with company policies.
  • Financial Assistance Enrollment: Gather necessary information from patients to facilitate their enrollment in available financial assistance programs.
  • Documentation: Keep precise records of all collection efforts, including payment plan specifics, to ensure comprehensive documentation.
  • Collection Targets: Strive to meet or surpass established collection benchmarks while upholding a high standard of customer service.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a warm and professional demeanor during all patient interactions, fostering a positive experience.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
