Job description

Job Title: RCM Specialist, Accounts Receivable - Remote

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated RCM Specialist for our Accounts Receivable team to facilitate our mission of delivering exceptional in-home personal care services. This role is integral within our Revenue Cycle Management Department, reporting directly to the RCM Supervisor. Your expertise will ensure the efficiency of our accounts receivable processes, ultimately contributing to the independence and dignity of the clients we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately submit claims to payors in accordance with their specific requirements and our internal policies.
  • Proactively address claims rejections and denials, diligently tracking and resolving issues to secure timely payments.
  • Maintain precise accounts receivable records while troubleshooting billing error codes.
  • Collaborate effectively with payers and operational teams to rectify billing discrepancies.
  • Generate comprehensive billing analysis reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze daily state reports to align approved payments with client accounts.
  • Alert the Operations Team and Manager of any late or missing billing documents.
  • Support receivables collection efforts by monitoring accounts and resubmitting invoices as necessary.
  • Produce various reports and manage administrative tasks including sorting, scanning, and filing of records.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in revenue cycle management or billing within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid/Managed Care Organization (MCO) billing practices is essential.
  • Experience in billing within an Electronic Data Interchange/3rd party clearinghouse environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
