Job description

Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation is seeking a Sr. Asset Manager, to support the global Energy Delivery team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing the processes and tools necessary to streamline our global operations.

In this role, you will manage a large portfolio of global energy contracts. This role will provide asset management, contract management, program management, data management, invoice management, and business process execution, while working closely with key stakeholders to support Global Energy Management.

Responsibilities

  • Manages contractual legal and operational obligations, working closely with our Energy team to ensure we are effectively managing our Energy Delivery and operational contracts.
  • Assures processing efficiency of our best in class contracts, aligning with local legislation and Microsoft standards,
  • Maintains Energy contracting standards and cross-regional knowledge-sharing frameworks,
  • Responsible for overview of contractual terms with a view to pro-actively support improvement of terms to leverage our growth,
  • Supports contract management life cycle programs – including amendments, key renewals, ,
  • Supports implementation of procedures and systems that continually improve and streamline the operation and management of Energy Delivery,
  • Creates internal analytics and presentations that support business operations & performance reviews,
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to drive clarity, alignment and progress on key initiatives,
  • Project manages initiatives while ensuring stakeholder alignment and desired outcomes are achieved,
  • Maintains ongoing relationships with peer-teams and partners to ensure compliance and commitments are fulfilled,
  • Supports regional results-oriented, data-driven programmatic approach to strategic asset management to develop improvements and efficiencies for our business,
  • Monitors operational performance and track efficacy relative to targets,
  • Supports development of business requirements, using agile methodology and partners with business intelligence experts and engineering to develop tools and systems,

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, OR years equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Asset Management and Contract Management,
  • Experience in program management, process management, process improvement.
  • Experience in Contract Management, Business Operations, Procurement
  • An excellent ability to communicate clearly and effectively and build trust with colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Datacenter Energy contracts negotiation and administration.
  • Experience with Datacenter Energy related program management.
  • Contract management or administrative support background.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining all deadlines and critical date obligations.
  • An excellent ability to drive clarity, alignment and action using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Data Management experience.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to anticipate the next steps for providing support.
  • Well-spoken and strong written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
