Job description

Job Description

Come grow with us! During the 2024 fiscal year, researchers at the University of Notre Dame submitted 1,310 proposals for external research funding for a total amount of $1.016 billion — the first time the University has surpassed the billion-dollar mark for proposals. In addition, the University received 829 separate awards — the largest number on record. With $223 million in total funding, these awards propelled the University past the $200 million mark for the fourth straight year. To support this immense growth, Notre Dame Research is recruiting talented research administration professionals to enhance the team that will steward our research enterprise into its next phase.

Notre Dame Research Administration and Compliance seeks an IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) Program Coordinator. This position shares responsibility for the coordination of the operation of the IACUC program. Primary coordination responsibilities include representation and assistance with the implementation of the programs to researchers, IACUC committee members, veterinary care staff, environmental health and safety staff, and sponsors of research. Based on experience and knowledge of the program, the IACUC Program Coordinator disseminates information about and assists investigators in the preparation of IACUC applications.

We are searching for a research administration professional who has a deep curiosity and a strong desire to learn. Responsibilities and level of supervision required will be determined according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate (see level qualifications below).

Notre Dame Research is committed to creating a community that fosters equity of experience and opportunity and ensures that members of all backgrounds feel safe, welcome, and included.
