Job description

We are excited to find a creative and highly skilled Video Production Manager who is ready to take our video content to the next level, building on our current foundation and helping us showcase the power of our open source product. You’ll be responsible for shaping our video strategy and creating impactful, visually appealing digital video content from concept to delivery.

Your Mission:

  • Develop a strategic approach for creative video content that enhances product understanding and user experience, with a focus on screencasts and digital content rather than on-camera video work as showcased on our YouTube channel.
  • Create and edit product demos, technical training videos, and how-to guides, making complex technical concepts easy to follow and visually engaging.
  • Take ownership of the monthly release videos, highlighting new features and updates, ensuring consistency and quality across all content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align video content with product releases and user needs and to distribute and share the videos across our different channels.
  • Review and assess existing video content, identifying opportunities for improvement or revamping to bring video formats to the next level.

What You'll Bring:

  • A curious, proactive individual specifically experienced in creating digital product videos and technical content.
  • Expertise in video editing tools (e.g. Camtasia Studio, Adobe Creative Suite) and a strong portfolio demonstrating product demos, tutorials, and user-friendly guides.
  • Strong understanding of technology, with the ability to grasp complex software quickly and explain it visually in simple, engaging ways.
  • Fluent in English (near-native level).
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setup and capable of managing projects effectively while communicating clearly across various teams.
  • Affinity for open source technology, with a mindset aligned to open source principles like collaboration and transparency.

What awaits you

  • The best of both worlds: the creative challenges and learning opportunities of a start-up combined with the financial stability of a “grown-up” company in a team of over 40 dedicated professionals.
  • The flexibility to decide from where you would like to work: remotely in any location that covers European Timezones.
  • Contributing to an open source project with high visibility and transparency within the developer world (our software code is freely available on Github).
  • You will create value for exciting clients and users from all around the globe, including NGOs and other open source projects which we love to support in fulfilling their mission (such as Greenpeace, Engineers without Frontiers), corporates like Siemens, Deutsche Bahn or Audi and public institutions like German Federal Ministries.
  • Once a year, we dedicate two weeks of "Passion Time" to work on any improvements of our choice with a business impact (e.g. product improvements, marketing concepts,...) in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A generous learning & development budget coupled with internal workshops and trainings as well as other employee benefits such as job bikes and child care support.
  • A competitive salary: underpaying our talents is no option for us since we believe in the motto “If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.”
