This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United State or Canada

Calix is looking for a Security Software Product Line Leadership to join a high performing team. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Line Leadership, this role will help define and manage a set of Cyber security routers product portfolio targeted for Enterprise and Broadband Service Providers. The candidate will have a passion and history for collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Development, and Support organizations in building highly effective, scalable and sustainable solutions in the delivery of innovative and high-quality end-to-end solutions.

The role encompasses broad understanding of various components for building secure communications platform, which includes network traffic analysis, threat detection and response methodologies at different points in the network from edge to endpoint.  Deep understanding of DPI, signature file creation, and management, application classification, device identification methodologies, utilizing ML/AI for threat detection as well as an understanding of infrastructure technologies such as firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, web-proxy, and the requirements of service provider operators for monitoring and auditing their networks. 

To be successful in this leadership role you must be a strong communicator inside and outside your organization, prioritizing a team mindset and have an effective cross functional way of working. 

Responsibilities:

  • Define strategy direction and lead continuous improvement of data communications and Cyber security, asset security, data governance, and compliance standards.
  • Prioritize and execute on investments that mitigate overall security risks and exposures for the entire product portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines that enable our customers deliver secure communications networks.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders/support teams and product vendors to manage all the aspects of business.
  • Delivering cyber security solutions that include functionality in the cloud, network switches and routers as well as home and business premises
  • Partner closely with all functional leaders to set and incorporate business objectives and strategy as well as ensure effective delivery of services and systems that meet our objectives
  • Release planning inside your organization including resource management and coordinating dependencies cross-functionally with the larger organization
  • Excellent presentation skill and the ability to summarize complex topics into a simple and easy to understand concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Travel - Up to 15%

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in product management, product leadership, and agile software development life cycle with a proven track record of delivering complex, security-based solutions that have proven market success
  • Excellent leadership and management skills including expectations and goal management, decision-making, coaching, and delegation.
  • Experience working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle and manage multiple product line releases in parallel
  • Proven track record on meeting overall project goals with a sense of urgency to meet customer expectations

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

240,900.00 - 500,400.00 USD Annual

All Other Locations:

209,500.00 - 435,100.00 USD Annual
