Summary of Job Duties:

The Cancer Genetics Clinic at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing team. Our genetic counselors work closely with our clinical teams, patients, and their families to facilitate risk assessment of hereditary cancers, discussion of genetic testing, and provide individualized cancer screening recommendations after testing. The candidate must have strong communication skills along with psychosocial counseling skills to discuss testing results and risk factors which must be managed as a part of the test findings. The candidate will be considered a subject matter expert and expected to provide genetics education for clinicians, patients and family members as an important part of the multidisciplinary clinic and team.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited genetic counseling program
Genetic Counselor licensure in the State of Arkansas; Board Certification (or be Board Eligible) through the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or eligible.

Preferred Qualifications:

Epic experience for documentation
