Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Lead Cloud Engineer, where you will be instrumental in the implementation and ongoing support of public cloud platforms. This fully remote position allows you to collaborate with a diverse range of IT professionals while focusing on enhancing the performance, automation, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure, primarily utilizing Microsoft Azure, AWS, and OCI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement infrastructure solutions for critical applications, ensuring exceptional availability (99.98%+) across all systems and services.
  • Configure and sustain Azure services, including Entra ID, Conditional Access policies, and various networking and storage components.
  • Collaborate with application development, database, and security teams to deploy automation solutions across infrastructure platforms, utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
  • Assess application cloud readiness, contributing to the creation of migration strategies and long-term management plans for cloud applications.
  • Lead technical efforts on infrastructure projects and major upgrades, developing project frameworks and managing tasks through Jira and Agile methodologies.
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to standardize cloud support and ensure compliance with established regulations and guidelines.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, showcasing professionalism in all interactions.
  • Employ advanced troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently, escalating when necessary.

Required Skills

  • In-depth understanding of essential IT services, including Active Directory/Azure Active Directory, DNS, IaaS, PaaS, and containerization.
  • Proficiency in cloud SAML integration, particularly with Azure Enterprise Apps, SSO, and SCIM provisioning.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM, and BICEP for automation services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, emphasizing teamwork and cooperative problem-solving.
  • A proactive mindset towards learning and applying innovative technology solutions.
  • A robust sense of ownership and accountability in executing tasks and project deliverables.

Qualifications

  • A proven track record of effectively working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or OCI is essential.
  • Background in managing infrastructure for mission-critical applications is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, preferably Agile and Jira, is an advantage.
