Position Overview For The Application Analyst

Project Leadership and Implementation: Lead and manage complex business or clinical application implementation projects, focusing on design, development, and optimization of EHR systems, including Epic and ancillary integrations. Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring all project milestones are met in alignment with Sutter Health’s strategic goals.
Application Configuration and Enhancement: Actively participate in the assessment, documentation, and configuration of applications, obtaining and detailing specifications for major projects. Analyze complex requirements and develop solutions that are standardized and aligned with current technologies and organizational needs.
Solutions Development and Integration: Design and configure advanced integration solutions, mapping data elements between systems while preparing clear and concise validation documents. Recommend architectural setups that optimize both hardware and software environments, addressing immediate needs and anticipating future growth.
Training and Knowledge Dissemination: Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications by developing and delivering formal training programs. Maintain an expert-level understanding of application design and functionality, continuously updating knowledge to reflect industry standards and evolving technologies, thereby enhancing the skill set of team members and stakeholders across Sutter Health.

Required Skills For The Application Analyst

Educational Credentials: A Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program is a mandatory requirement, along with a valid PHARMD-Licensed Pharmacist credential, ensuring deep clinical knowledge applicable to pharmacy operations.
Certification: Must possess Willow Inpatient Certification, which demonstrates proficiency in managing inpatient pharmacy systems within the Epic framework.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience as a front-line pharmacist or clinical pharmacist is essential, with a strong emphasis on understanding pharmacy workflows and integration within electronic health records (EHR).
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Epic Bugsy is preferred, alongside a solid understanding of Health Level 7 (HL7) standards, data integration, and application lifecycle management, enabling effective participation in EHR integration projects.
