Job Description

We're looking for a Product Owner to join Legal & General Mortgage Services in Barnsley, on a 6 month fixed-term contract!

You'll take ownership of a software product throughout its lifecycle, ensuring the product we create meets the needs of the business and our customers as well as being secure, efficient and performant.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Working with the Programme Manager, Product Manager & stakeholders to define and communicate a product vision and roadmap that aligns with the product & company strategy
    • Managing the product backlog, including prioritisation and refinement in line with stakeholder needs to improve existing products
    • Working with Internal and external stakeholders to develop and define requirements for product features so they are clearly understood and ready to go into a development sprint
    • Working with the Programme Manager and Product Manager to measure product performance through analytics, feedback and quality metrics to ensure the product continues to deliver both customer and commercial value
    • Acting as an ambassador for existing products both internally and externally as primary contact for queries relating to the product
    • Acting as primary contact between internal and external stakeholders, setting realistic expectations, and ensuring the communication of the progress
    • Managing business readiness plans to ensure smooth and timely delivery from both an internal and external perspective

    • Solid people skills - building effective working relationships across internal business areas and external stakeholders
    • Systemic and organised - attention to detail and rigour to the process for building and maintaining software
