As a Product Owner, you directly influence the design of External Fraud Detection within the Tribe FEC Tech. The main goal is to lead a development team that is building a new Fraud Detection Model to replace one of the existing models. The team consists of data scientists, developers, business analysts, and a scrum master, supported by a fraud subject matter expert and an architect.

Based on your product vision, you challenge your development team to deliver robust MVPs fast and test their performance and effectiveness. You give direction towards further continuous development and progress of the new fraud detection model, step by step. You update your stakeholders proactively about developments, impediments, and dependencies and you manage these in a hands-on, active way to ensure progress and make an impact. You have the knowledge about the systems and models to be able to prioritize well, without micro-managing or taking over the role of your team members, who build and maintain the functionality.

You closely work together with your squad as a team player and you manage and prioritize your product backlog to ensure solutions with the highest value are delivered first.

Top responsibilities:

• Developing the mission, vision, roadmap, and KPIs for the Area;
• Aligning the priorities of the Area and making dependencies clear;
• Speeding up the Agile way of working (Simplify@Scale) and heartbeat.

Finally, together with the other Product Owners, you support the Area Lead with:

• Building and leading your team so they can deliver sprint-by-sprint MVPs to deliver the new fraud detection model. You see opportunities to deliver fast and you make sure you are well-advised by your team and stakeholders. You create a safe space where the team can develop and learn;
• Building the roadmap for the new fraud detection model, aligning with stakeholders, including compliance to deliver a robust model that adheres to internal and external regulations;
• You clearly communicate with your stakeholders what they can expect from you and your team. You are comfortable with saying no. You are responsible for the roadmap for the upcoming year and have an eye for the ambitions of your squad. You proactively communicate about which resources your need and manage and resolve dependencies.
• Continuously improving the prevention of External Fraud, to protect the Customers and the bank. That is their purpose. The Area of External Fraud Detection consists of ambitious, driven, positive people. They work hard, create space for development, learn together from mistakes, and innovate.

You and your talent:

Building teams, bringing MVPs to production, building the confidence of teams to experiment, customer centricity, change management, and making an impact are essential skills for the role of Product Owner External Fraud. In addition, you are or have:

Skills:

• A Bachelor or Master level of thinking and working;
• Minimum of 3 Years of experience in a Product Owner role;
• Experience in IT;
• Experience with model development and model management processes and affinity with data science / advanced analytics;
• Result driven;
• Proven track record in bringing new applications/models to production working with MVPs;
• Proven track record of building teams with a growth mindset;
• A getting things-done mindset, also under pressure;
• A positive mindset.
