We are seeking a results-driven, enthusiastic, diligent, and talented technology leader to join the DTC E-commerce Engineering team at TopGolf Callaway Brands as Sr. Manager. This person will lead a team of software engineers on their digital transformation journey. This dynamic manager will partner with technology and business leaders, and other stakeholders, to identify solutions to business needs, leveraging technology to add value to the company, through improved sales via an ever-improving customer experience or by improving efficiency of the digital tools used by our merchants, marketing partners, or customer service representatives. The ideal candidate will excel at managing a distributed team of engineering resources and will be accountable for the operational excellence of our digital solutions delivery pipeline: This leader will be accountable for the design, development & operation of complex E-commerce solutions, in a fast-paced, global, environment, leveraging contemporary tools and software engineering techniques.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure timely and on-budget delivery of well-designed, high-quality DTC E-commerce solutions for multiple global sites.

  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of domain-bound E-commerce solutions, including OMS, CMS, and Payments.

  • Ensure that designs follow best practices but also are imbued with innovation and the ability to deliver value over time.

  • Accountable to provide global visibility, collaboration, and development analytics to stakeholders.

  • Partner with Product teams to prioritize resources and projects in support of business value and corporate objectives.

  • Establish, grow, and enhance collaborative relationships with Product, IT and Business leads.

  • Partner with Product and PMO to manage multiple projects/solutions for multiple functional domains.

  • Collaborate within the DTC Engineering team leaders to ensure alignment and adherence to stated goals.

  • Collaborate with business areas to understand needs and develop or introduce solutions to maximize value.

  • Leverage matrix approach to sharing of resources in support of business needs.

  • Mentor/develop/motivate staff.

  • Ongoing evaluation of direct staff for required skills and experience, ensuring timely training and professional development.

  • Manage distributed internal and external resources as a composite domain team.

  • As part of our ongoing digital transformation, be a change agent within the organization, challenging the broader team and business partners to improve and excel by thinking differently about how to achieve desired outcomes.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Superior expertise in E-commerce, Order Management, Content Management, and other related technologies.

  • Superior knowledge of software engineering practices, including Agile software development, composable architecture, and MACH principles

  • Superior business process documentation skills, to facilitate conversations about best practices.

  • Excellent management and leadership skills: people, process, and technology.

  • Experience with change management, especially at larger organizations.

  • Demonstrated achievement in developing and maintaining business partnership at all levels and from varying cultures around the world.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on translating technical topics so that they are digestible by non-technical audiences.

  • Inclusive and participative management style, advocate team-based concepts.

  • Diverse background with broad knowledge of solution platforms, custom development, package implementations to work on highly complex projects.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Experience managing DTC E-commerce software engineering delivery using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (i.e. PWA Kit / Composable Commerce)

  • Experience managing DTC E-commerce software engineering delivery using a Headless CMS (Contentful, Contentstack, etc.)

  • Experience managing DTC E-commerce software engineering delivery using a modern OMS (Kibo, Fluent, etc.)

  • Experience managing DTC E-commerce software engineering delivery using modern CI/CD tools and techniques (Github Actions, e.g.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Superior knowledge of Business process and the application of technology

  • Minimum 8 years of E-commerce, OMS, or other large, multi-domain, system engineering experienceMinimum 5 years of managing a team providing B2C/DTC E-commerce/Digital solution delivery
